Emotions and feelings have a strong connection with the breath and are expressed in the way that we breathe. When your breathing reacts to an emotion your body also reacts. When preparing for a crux move and you need to let go of negative thoughts (gear holding, fear) take a deep breath and exhale strongly.

A short history of yoga

The word Yoga is derived from the Sanskrit root ‘yuj’ meaning to ‘yoke’ or ‘harness’. Yoga is believed to be 5,000 years old. Carvings from the Indus Valley Civilization, discovered by archeologist Sir John Marshall, depict a figure that represents a yogi sitting in meditation posture.

By dedicating time every day to a meditation practice, the mind can be trained to have more positive emotions , to be less anxious and in the moment.
